Aruoriwo Oboh-Weilke MD

I have been practicing in Washington,DC and southern Maryland since 2009. Before moving back to Maryland, I practiced for 5 years in North Dakota and western Minnesota.

I received my undergraduate degree from Boston University in 1993 and my medical degree from the Rutgers University Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey in 1997. I have completed a residency in Ophthalmology at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY and additional fellowship training in cornea, external disease and refractive surgery with the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore.

I am currently an associate professor of ophthalmology at Georgetown University Hospital in DC where I also see patients and perform surgery. My private offices are located in Waldorf, MD and Hollywood, MD, I provide most of the surgical care for my southern maryland patients at an ambulatory surgery center in Clinton, MD and at Fort Washington Hospital.

I am a fellow of the the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the Cornea Society.

I specialize in the surgical treatment of cataracts, corneal transplantation, DSEK and treatment of pterygium. On the non-surgical side, I specialize in the evaluation and treatment of patients with diseases of the cornea such as Fuch dystrophy, corneal ulcers and keratoconus.

I am a network provider for Medicare, Tricare, Aetna, Cigna and Carefirst Blue Cross/Blue Shield. We also accept out of network benefits from any other medical plan as well as self-pay patients.
